About this Project
Working in partnership once again with Alison Dodds Architect, this two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment in St Kilda East required a full refurbishment; including a whole new kitchen fit-out and window replacement, bathroom and laundry renovation, fresh paint throughout, new carpet and flooring, painted cabinetry and polished floorboards.
Featuring tango white marble from The Marble House and custom olive-green joinery and cabinetry from One 8th Joinery, the kitchen is modern, unique and light-filled thanks to the large single-paned glass window to replace the previous outdated timber window. The new window transforms the space and provides a stunning outlook to the lush garden outside, which pairs beautifully with the olive-green joinery.
The bathroom was completely gutted out and transformed into a bright and modern space, complete with heated flooring and towel rails. It features INAX Sugie Series mosaic wall tiles with hanton glaze from Artedomus and beautiful terrazzo floor tiles from Delucia Tile Company. Tap-wear and shower fittings are from Meir Australia. A different cut of the same tango white marble from the kitchen was used for the bathroom vanity.
The laundry was refitted with appliances, plumbing and joinery, featuring olive-green tiles from Artedomus as a splashback. The two bedrooms were freshened up with new paint and olive-green carpet to match the theme of the apartment. Floorboards throughout the hallway and front room were polished.
